Meet our Mascot

Hello everyone! Meet Ally, our adopted Wombat. Ally was born in the wild but was orphaned at an early age. She now lives at the Australia Walkabout Wildlife Park in Calga, New South Wales where she has all the love and attention she needs. After being had-reared by humans, she would be unlikely to survive on her own in the wild but the dedicated carers at Walkabout Park have provided her with a safe and comfortable home.

Ally is still quite young and currently weights about 26kg but when full grown, could weigh as much as 40kg. She is a very intelligent little Wombat with an enquiring mind. She always wants to know what is going on and can frequently be seen standing on top of one of the logs in her enclosure. It affords a good vantage point for seeing what all her furry friends are up to. She lives on a diet of fresh grass, hay and carrots, although her favourite food is Weetabix.

Make sure you keep an eye out for her as you’ll be seeing her again very soon.
